              Finnish case studies on the effectiveness of digital health

              This session is part of a new series of webinars, organized by national member societies of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth. In this session, the Finnish Society of Telemedicine and eHealth (FSTeH), one of the oldest telemedicine societies in the world, brings together some of its members to present digital health services that have been implemented in Finland.

              Join us on January 14th, 2026 (1:00pm UTC) to hear about some of the experience in digital health that has been built up in Finland.

              Speakers:

              Paulus Torkki
              Associate Professor of Healthcare Operations Management, University of Helsinki
              Focusing his studies on value-based management of health care systems. The specific interest is to understand value in digital health services, both from cost-effectiveness and value cocreation perspectives. The presentation will focus on scientific evidence of the current digital health solutions.

              Silja Kosola, MD
              Adjunct Professor, Research Director at Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County
              Western Uusimaa is one of the largest wellbeing services counties in Finland. Silja will introduce the many ways in which artificial intelligence and digital solutions are being developed and utilized for more efficient provision of services.

              Jaana Kotila
              Development Manager, Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS)
              Health Village: A Model of Excellence in Digital Development Co-Created Through University Hospital Collaboration. Health Village stands as a pioneering example of how close collaboration between university hospitals can produce innovative, user-centered digital solutions.
