Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Under the Microscope: Documentation, Coding & Compliance Essentials

The Healthcare Disparities and Digital Health (HDDH) Working Group of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH) is pleased to present this webinar on Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).

RPM has become an important component of connected and technology-enabled healthcare. However, the technology is only one part of a compliant RPM program. Effective documentation, accurate coding and billing, medical necessity, and evidence of patient participation are essential to supporting services and reducing compliance risk.

This practical session will examine RPM from a documentation, coding, billing, and compliance perspective, highlighting common vulnerabilities and strategies organizations can use to strengthen their RPM workflows.

              Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

              • Identify key documentation elements needed to support RPM services.
              • Review the coding and billing components associated with RPM.
              • Recognize common documentation, coding, and workflow vulnerabilities that may increase audit risk.
              • Explain the role of medical necessity and patient participation in supporting RPM services.
              • Apply practical strategies to strengthen RPM documentation, coding, and compliance processes.

Participants will receive 1 FREE CEU!

              Speaker:

Keisha Wilson, CHC, CCS, CPC, CPCO, CPMA, CRC, CPB, AAPC Approved Instructor
