13 April 2026Telemedicine and eHealth in Poland: Progress, Challenges, and Future Directions
Poland’s telemedicine and digital health sector is moving from experimentation to integration, according to a webinar hosted by the Polish Telemedicine and eHealth Society and ISfTeH on April 13, 2026. The event brought together experts in medicine, engineering, artificial intelligence, education, and digital infrastructure to discuss progress and the challenges ahead.
Speakers highlighted that Poland has built strong digital health foundations, including patient-facing tools, ePrescriptions, and remote care systems, but the next phase will depend on better interoperability, stronger workforce training, and tighter integration into clinical workflows. The discussion also showed how artificial intelligence is already being used in dentistry, pathology, respiratory monitoring, and patient coaching, while still remaining a support tool for clinicians rather than a replacement.
The webinar concluded that meaningful digital health transformation requires more than technology alone. It depends on aligned systems, skilled professionals, clear policy frameworks, and continued international collaboration.
