24 April 2025Exciting News: ISfTeH’s Official Relations with WHO Renewed
We are pleased to announce that the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth has successfully renewed its status as a Non-State Actor (NSA) in Official Relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) for another three-year period. This renewal underscores our continued commitment to advancing the global field of digital health, and we look forward to furthering our collaboration with WHO in improving health outcomes worldwide.
Within the frame of this recognition, the ISfTeH works on and provides input to Research on Quality of Care, the Global Telehealth Community of Practice (GTCoP), Digital Health Atlas, Global Digital Health Monitor, Guidelines on Cross-Border Telemedicine, the WHO Acute Care Action Network (ACAN), and more.

ISfTeH members also have an opportunity to participate in some of the WHO’s annual constitutional meetings. For 2025, these include:

- 25-29 August: Lusaka, Zambia, Regional Committee for Africa: seventy-fifth session
- 29 September-3 October: Washington DC, USA, Regional Committee for the Americas: seventy-seventh session
- 15-17 October: Cairo, Egypt, Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean: seventy-second session
- 14-17 October: Sri Lanka, Regional Committee for South-East Asia: seventy-eighth session
- 20-24 October: Fiji, Regional Committee for the Western Pacific: seventy-sixth session
- 28-30 October: Copenhagen, Denmark, Regional Committee for Europe: seventy-fifth session
